Camp Challenge exists under the umbrella and in association with the American Missionary
Fellowship, whose purpose statement is to reach the spiritually neglected people of America, to evangelize, disciple, and
congregate them for Jesus Christ. Camp Challenge agrees with that statement and attempts to work within its framework. With that in mind, Camp Challenge makes efforts to see young people come to a saving faith
in Jesus Christ, to meet together at camp, in their church and youth group, and in Bible studies and other outreach opportunities
for the purpose of fellowship, encouragement, and accountability, and to grow in their trust and obedience to Jesus. This
fulfills the purpose statment as given above.

Camp Challenge has a twofold philosophy under which it functions. Both philosophies are equally significant
in the ministry of the camping experience, both building upon the other for completion, neither taking precedence over the
other. 1) Camp Challenge desires every
camper to develop a relationship with God. 2) Camp Challenge desires every camper to have a good time. This philosophy has been the foundation of this camping program since 1975, and
has brought amazing results to hundreds of lives.
